The Contemporary Art Festival (single—channel video, 2011)  This video is a fiction about the development of a hypothetical Art Festival wich is concibed through the concept ‘The crisis of receipt’ in the artistical context. Using techinques belonging to the mass media, the festival is organized with the scale of a large popular event.

Some Agents who works outside of the creative process; Gallerists, Curators, Collectors, and Employers will analyze the different contributions of the participants which constitute at once a proposal of daydreams and utopias.

Albert Merino (b. 1979 in Barcelona) — graduated in Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona and the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee.

During several years he developed an extensive work of video between the cities of Paris, Barcelona and Berlin. Using a personal and intimate language, he develops a vast imagery where the video is used as a tool to intercede in the daily life, verging often irony and absurdity. His work cover different genres from experimental films to videodance or fake documentaries.

During the past two years his work has been recognized with several awards, and was exhibited and shown at festivals in several countries, such as Los Angeles Art Fair, the Medatac Festival at Reina Sofia Museum, Latin Videoart Festival of New York, CologneOFF or the Biennal of Cerveira.
