The work has been created in New York. The objects inside the washing machine / the tumble dryer — a white sheet and a red tablecloth — are subject to its rotation. The main idea of the film is how an external force subordinate and fully determines the behaviour of different objects or persons while acting. One can also say that using a very simple language, it depicts the complex and intricate political situation in our country. The title of the work, Polish and Cleaners, derives from the ads Polish companies publish in the New York press.

Jerzy Dobrzański is a multimedia artist based in Kraków. He graduated in Sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. His natural work environment is public space where he has recently created a series of experimental works entitled „Art by the way”. Currently, a PhD student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, Faculty of Industrial Design. This year, he got a six—month scholarship from the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York.
