Rerun is a reconstructive journey back in time. Using the advanced film technology and household DIY objects (noodles, rubbers, felt pads, flour, adhesive tapes), Krenz recalls the nostalgia for the experimental cinema of the 60`s and 70`s. He creates abstract visual compositions that are reminiscent of the film experiments of Paul Sharits, Malcolm Le Grice, Tony Conrad, Lis Rhodes, and Franciszka and Stephen Themerson. The visual layer is concurrent with the sound level and sonic narratives by Robert Piotrowicz that enter into a dialogue with the aesthetics of early electronic music.
