Sing under (single—channel video, 2012) A black liquid, symbol of contamination of unknown origin, emanates from the girl’s body, distorting the morbid sensations into a poetical visionary state.
Jung Hee Seo — a French—Korean artist and videographer. From various disciplines, such as drawing, ceramics sculpture, since several years her work is more focused on the moving image. The main themes of her work is memory and oblivion, sacred imagery and body. Among the non—narrative film and video art pieces, her enigmatic works explore an intimistic and singular visual language, which is mixed with refined aesthetics and choreographic research.
She studied visual communication at the University of Hong—Ik (Seoul, Korea), National School of Fine Arts in Paris (exchange program with grants), Ecole Nationale Supérieure d`Art de Limoges, and Le Frensoy — National Studio of Contemporary Arts.
She lives and works in Roubaix, Paris, Seoul.
