In the system of culture, eternity is perceived as something transcendental and which is beyond human understanding. Circumstances that devour life and beings that are doomed to live are metaphorically brought together in the Eternity project. A metaphor of Eternity is a little girl who mentally withstands and resists destructive force and always wins a victory over it. This is the Eternity of an absolute and timeless being. The project shows a number of deadly circumstances that the little girl finds herself in, but her „life appears to be Eternity, and her death appears to be only an instant”.
PROVMYZA — an art group set up in 1998 by Galina Myznikova (born 1968 in Gorky, USSR) and Sergey Provorov (born 1970 in Gorky, USSR).
The artists work in various genres of contemporary art: video art, experimental films, photography, installation, opera staging. Their works were presented at the 51st Venice Biennale, Kunstfilm Biennale (Museum Ludwig, Cologne), Hors Pistes (Centre Pompidou, Paris), Biennial of Moving Images (Saint—Gervais, Geneva) and other notable events.
Over twenty films of the art group participated in international festivals and were awarded with: “Tiger Award for Short Film” (38th International Film Festival Rotterdam), “Gran Premio for the Best Competing Film” (25th Asolo International Art Film Festival), “Best Experimental Film” (15th Chilean International Short Film Festival).
In 2010, the film Inspiration was part of the Orizzonti program at the 67th Venice International Film Festival, and the film Eternity was invited to the Cinema XXI Competition at the 7th Rome Film Festival.
Three String Quartets For One Video as the joint project between the PROVMYZA art group and the composers, A. Nadzharov, G. Dorohov and A. Shmurak, was a Grand Prix winner of the Kuryokhin Contemporary Art Awards. Galina Myznikova and Sergey Provorov as authors and stage directors of the opera Marevo are winners of the INNOVATION Prize 2012 in “Visual art” of the 8th All—Russian Competition in Contemporary Visual Art.
