In Fear of Dead Enigmas (installation, 2011) A kinetic sculpture, inspired by the work of Constantin Brancusi — an artist who was one of the first in the history to focus on the essence of things, not the appearance — in which slow rotation of a solid causes sequential movement of electrical discharge. The installation is built into the form of a cube made out of translucent Plexiglas. This perfect solid is cut diagonally into two, with upper part subject to rotation. Gradual movement results in tearing apart both the form and the electric field.

Dorota Walentynowicz (b. 1977 in Gdańsk) — a Polish visual artist and a performer, who works with photography, video and sound, as much as interactive media, creating installations and kinetic objects in public space.
Her works were presented at several exhibitions in Poland and abroad, among others, in Kunstlerhaus in Vienna (2012), the Bunker of Art in Cracow (2012), Austrian Cultural Forum in Warsaw (2011), Lisy Ruyter Gallery in Vienna (2011), ŁAŹNIA Centre for Contemporary Art in Gdańsk (2009), Stroom Foundation in the Hague (2009), Transmediale in Berlin (2007), V_2 Institute in Rotterdam (2007), Museum for Photography in Amsterdam (2006).
She received several scholarships, among others, of the Museums Quartier in Vienna (2010), the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (2006), and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland (2010). In years 2006—7, she was a guest lecturer at the Royal Conservatoire and Art Academy in the Hague, in years 2009—10, she was an assistant at the Faculty of Photography, Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań.
She graduated in classical philology from the University of Gdańsk (2001), photography from the University of Arts in Poznań (2005), and Royal Conservatoire in the Hague (2007).
She lives and works in Vienna and Gdańsk.
